“From My Family To Yours...”

It brings me joy to be given an opportunity to be a part of this growing community in Chino Hills. I have been practicing dentistry for about three years and am now taking the next step in my professional career of building a practice and growing with the families of patients that should walk through our doors. My story begins with my father, Dr. Jong M. Lee, an established dentist in the Diamond Bar community since 1982. He, along with my supportive mother, Jackie Lee, raised my two older brothers and me in the local schools and taught us the value of good work ethic and morale. Interestingly, my two brothers, Dr. Joon and Dr. Sung Lee, and I all ended up becoming dental professionals.

As a kid, I was always intrigued with the healthcare industry. My father’s relationships with his patients left a long-lasting impression as I was growing up. It was not until I was a sophomore at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) when I narrowed my two career choices to become a physician or a dentist. I’ll admit that I was persuaded just a little bit when the rest of the family was so passionate about their dental careers at that time!
Dr. Sue Lee, D.D.S.
Many patients ask me why I decided to go to the UCLA School of Dentistry, whereas my father and brothers graduated from the USC School of Dentistry. I had no intention of creating any sort of drama (I really didn’t!). It was a choice that I felt was the right path for me and to this day I am proud to call myself a Bruin! It makes college football and basketball seasons fun for our family rivalry!

I am grateful that I was able to learn so much about the profession over the past three years. I am continually learning something new every day and am also currently focusing on continuing education courses in dental implantology. My goal is to be knowledgeable in the current topics in my field and to ultimately provide all my patients with the most comprehensive treatment plan that will leave them smiling and in great dental health.

DR. JONG M. LEE, D.D.S.

Dr. Jong M. Lee began his dental career when he graduated from Seoul National University’s Dental College in South Korea in 1972. He broadened his horizons and moved to sunny California where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the USC School of Dentistry in 1979.

Dr. Lee started his first private practice in 1982 in Diamond Bar, CA, where he was one of the few dentists to serve the community with a big and welcoming heart. He quickly became one of Diamond Bar’s active residents, always supporting the local city, schools, and community programs. He supported the Diamond Bar Chamber of Commerce, Diamond Bar Improvement Association, the Multicultural and Human Resource Committee, Diamond Bar Bingo Boosters, the local Boy Scouts and A.Y.S.O. and Little League, the Walnut Sheriff Department, and the Walnut Unified School District. Patients agree that Dr. Lee has an energy and drive for his work, family, and friends like no other.
Dr. Jong Lee raised two sons and a daughter with his wife in Diamond Bar. His children grew up to see their father’s love and dedication for his work and followed in his footsteps to become dentists as well. He is now practicing in the Lees’ Downtown Los Angeles office. He takes pride and joy in making the commute to serve the patients in the area. Dr. Lee’s professional affiliations include the American Dental Association (A.D.A.), California Dental Association (C.D.A.), Tri-County Dental Society, and the USC Alumni Association.

Dr. Jong Lee enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, traveling, and getting involved with his church. He definitely knows how to make his patients feel comfortable and safe—his humorous and generous nature is truly one-of-a-kind.
